When I began this project, chosing a medium was simple enough, poetry being my strongest suit and therefore my automatic choice. But now I'm not so sure. Don't get me wrong, I have no intention of changing my medium. However, it is proving quite a challenge to fulfil this obligation to the best of my conscious ability. The main source of my frustration, I believe, is the idea that it is proving so difficult to portray the necessary images for a topic that appears so simple.
I think, though, that I'm beginning to discover the significance of the project's nature. My intentions change even now as I type this, because is that not the meaning behind its very name? The theme "Cast Your Bucket Down" is taking on a new meaning for me, possibly as it should have long before, so forgive my youthful ignorance, but I'm finally seeing the big picture. We are in search of a solution, and we have been relying on the mindless mechanisms of Google its facilities, numerous though they may be, to do the work for us. But what we, or I, rather, should be doing is searching within the confines of my own knowledge of this topic and uncovering the answer to porblem I so thoughtlessly chose to address. So I will write a poem. But it won't be about a problem. It will be about a solution.
