Kids

Kids. Those adorable, but very time-consuming inventions. Kids are a very important factor in eating out, especially the age and behavior range. If your kid is a few weeks old, of course you can not go out to eat, because the child will be very cranky in an environment like that. Also, because kids have early curfews, families can not spend long nights at restaurants.
Also, because kids restrict families (parents who have children) from eating out late, families can not have long wait times. I am a hostess for my job, and all families that have children never stay and wait for their table, because the parents realize their kids need to get home soon.
Children's moods and attitudes have a lot to do with the decision making process of whether or not going out to eat. Parents who make the decision to go out make sure that it will be a good evening, rather than being a hassle, and an unpleasant evening. Every parent has to make a decision of whether or not going out to eat or not, and having young kids is a big factor in this decision.
