Sleep is apparently important.

I briefly looked through Google Alerts and I found this newspaper article that said that diabetes might be caused by lack of sleep. When I first saw it, I thought it would just be one of those useless works that make parents believe that forcing their children to go to bed early is actually healthy so it gives them the excuse to say. “You’ll thank me one day,” but when I actually read it, the main point actually made sense. Basically it said that when you sleep for a healthy amount of time you develop increasing fasting glucose. It also said something about people who sleep less crave more caffeine or sugary foods and drinks which is of course bad for diabetics. It seems to me that diabetics have to always be on this strict diet. I wonder what they do to help prevent themselves from getting sick on days like their birthday when they know that sugary food will be given to them…
