So, due to the insane amount of schoolwork that I have been getting this past week, I haven't had that much time for research on my topic. However, I have been able to get some information that some people who do read this would either find interesting, or humorous.
These are statistics were found on the blogsite Restorative Health, who got them from the CDC. The data shows how obesity differs based off race and location. According to the statistics, non-Hispanic blacks had the highest overall obesity rate at 36.8%; among non-Hispanic black women, the obesity rate was even higher at 41.9%. Next in line were the Hispanics, who had obesity rates of 30.7%. For non-high school graduates, the rate was 32.9%. Then come the Southern states, AKA where I'm from, who had an obesity rate of 28.4%. In the Midwest, the obesity rate was 28.2%, which when you consider the number of people in both areas, is a larger difference then you would normally think.
The blog I found this from provided all of the information above along with several other facts I provided last week. There's the source if you want it.
Hopefully next week. I can actually get some info that would be useful for my cause.
Godspeed
