Lately, I have been thinking about my eating habbits. Honestly, most of the time I do not think about what or where I eat. If it satisfies my hunger, then I am happy. This is the excuse most people use when they eat unhealthy. This next week I will start my experiment. My experiment is to compare myself, along with my friends and families eating habits.
Also, I work at a very popular sit-down restaurant. While I will say the restaurant does offer healthy things such as fish, grilled chicken, and salads; we also serve unhealthy foods as well. Our most popular appetizer is "gooey fries." Now, one can just imagine by the name of this food item, how unhealthy it really is. All gooey fries are is curly fries smothered in blanco cheese, and bacon bits. Unhealthy, right? Well, that's how our society is. When we go out to eat especially, we only ask ourselves, "What looks good on the menu?" We never ask "Is this even the least bit healthy for my body?" Also, I know whenever I go out to eat, the last, but my faviorte part of the meal -- dessert.
I am hoping by using this past week to observe, think, and contemplate all the thoughts that go through our mind when making the decision. We do not even realize how important these decisions are for us are, until later down the line when the doctor classifies your body as overweight. This next week I will record, and then examine different families and their eating habits for the week. This will be able to give me some insight onto exactly, how unhealthy the people that are around me really are.
