dying plants and plans on learning how to shoot....

Not much to tell about this week.

My cantaloupes are
super dead. I am going to dig them up this weekend and start getting the garden ready for when it cools down. I am really looking forward to my fall/winter garden. I want to plant pumpkins maybe, but it seems king of silly since I have nothing to do with them. Maybe I can make pumpkin pie....

Great news! My pantry made something for me. Yes, it made something! A long forgotten onion was in the bottom of the pantry and it sprouted something green on top. I planted it and it is still alive so that was pretty awesome.

I talked to Miss Patty again about the canning. She said we need to get some preserving salt and some vinegar, but she has all of her equipment. I am so excited! I am probably going to go up and preserve some weekend this month because October is pretty busy for me and November seems a little late.

About that whole hunting thing... I need to learn how to shoot a gun because I can't. I just found out that the people that I am going hunting with go out in the middle of nowhere and camp in a cabin. That should be fun. I like camping.

I was thinking about the project and I know I have already turned in my project commitment but I am thinking about making learning to cook more things part of my personal goal for the project.

Anyway, that is all for this week.
