Many use the excuse of being busy in order not to cook, truthfully, it is because of laziness. Cooking at home is not that hard, and it's really not that inconvenient. Certain things can be cooked in the same amount of time it would take for you to order a " number one with two apple pies". I was reading an article on suite101.com about The Benefits of Home Cooking For A Busy Lifestyle. The article pointed out a good fact that you save money and eat healthier when you cook at home. The daily dollar menus stops at McDonald's and Burger King do add up in your wallet and your stomach. Plus, food tastes better cooked at home; baked goods like cookies and cakes are great examples. You know KFC has nothing on your grandma's fried chicken.
With cooking at home, you get a better idea of the ingredients that are in your food. As opposed to eating out, you really don't know what kind of additives are in your food. Some say they can't cook. Recipes are easy to follow nowadays and certain things you just cant mess up unless you try really hard. There is no real excuse for not cooking at home, you could come up with one, but if you tried, it wouldn't be a problem. We are just lazy Americans who love greasy fattening, quick and easy to get foods.
