When I was in the fifth grade my father was hospitalized, for a stroke. He had a heart-monitor in his hospital gown pocket and he told me that it was there to shock him if he tried to leave the hospital. I beleived him. Now he has to pop a thousand pills everyday to keep his little stints ticking for his heart. Karma? I don't think so. No, he just chose to eat the fatty foods Americans eat everyday. We don't think too much about it, even though headlines everywhere are practically screaming warnings at us. Now he's a very sick person.
Stress doesn't help much either. When you become so sick as to acquire type two diabetes, simple things like too much stress or not enough sleep also can be very hazardous to your health. My father doesn't pay too much attention to these things either. You'd think that when you make yourself that sick, that you'd stop whatever it is that's causing the trouble; but it's like smoking or drinking. Truth is most people aren't going to stop. Their mentality is that they're already screwed and stopping isn't going to help much now. Sure maybe when you get lung cancer, but when eating some fruits and veggies and jogging is a big lung to regaining your health, you'd think it'd be much easier, right?. I mean he could stop smoking, but not eat any healthier? My goal is to find out why. I think it's because you don't have to smoke to live, although it is extremely addicting. Eating is more addicting and a pretty vital part to living and whatnot, so when food is breached, you want the most addicting, tasty yummies you can get.
